Mom and Dad used a little 8 mm home movie camera for many years. Rick had the old reels of film digitized years ago. The stack of film was not exactly in order and the quality of the old chemically processed film was degraded. In the early days Dad tended to economize on the film so the scenes are short. There’s about 10 hours of film here.
The format for family viewing of the home movies required the family sitting around and commenting as the film ran by. The projector couldn’t be paused without burning a hole in the film. Someday we should sit down and record an audio track to go with these silents. It’s interesting to see who can recognize themselves and who denies it completely.
