Christmas 1955

Mal started doing his Christmas show in 1955 at WBBM. He called it “Christmas Around the World”. He selected songs and stories from the earliest days of Christmas and from locations from Hawaii to Poland (and many in between).

Christmas 1967

In 1967 Mal was still at WBBM in Chicago. Here is his show from December 17 that year. Each of the following tracks covers an hour of the show that ran from 12:10 to 5:55 (with breaks for news and weather).

Technically the photo at the top of the page showing Mal and Jo loading the dishwasher may not be a Christmas picture. But cooking was always a big deal at holiday time, so it fits.
