A quick slice of the late‑60s— 1968 Aspen Colorado in their own words. Now it’s time for Mal and Joe to be on the go and today we’re going to take you out to Aspen, Colorado This is the right time of year and you undoubtedly think we’re going to talk about skiing and Vedaling down buttermilk, but we’re not we’re going to talk about one of the most truly Fascinating people we have ever met anywhere on the face of this globe. He is a climber He belongs to a very unique club of men who have climbed every major mountain in the Western Hemisphere Alaska United States Mexico and South America. Yes, I’ve forgotten I’ve been sitting here trying to think what Toklot means an Eskimo word and I’ve temporarily lost the meaning of it when we were in Aspen Toklot was out in the woods In fact, you had to drive 11 miles out of town to get there and it was an exciting little place because it was just a log cabin in the Woods from all the information I’ve gotten recently Stuart has moved into town better to serve the skiers I would suspect and so it’s now called Toklot in Aspen and it’s at Monarch and Durant streets and Their specialties are Alaskan king crab and smoked trout and reindeer stroganoff.
